The
longest alpine rock wall in Slovenia is in the central part of
Triglav National Park.
The Loške stene rock walls are located between the
Bavšica Valley and the
Loška Koritnica Valley.
The ridge of
Loške stene rock walls runs from
Plešivec across the highest peak of
Briceljk (
2346 m), and to the area of
Krnica;
it is
5 km long and
1000 m high.
Below the wall a series of summits which lean on the main ridge were formed in dolomite:
- Petričevec,
- Planinca,
- Pologova glava and
- Ruševa glava.
Access to the top of
Loške stene rock walls to
Briceljk is from the
Bavšica Valley.
A mountain guide is recommended.
Loške stene walls are the most beautiful before sunset!
