Through the Gorjance mountain chain the road leads us to the land of white birch trees. As appropriate, the first stop is at an inn or at a tourist farm, so you can gain some strength before heading on your way. Our tourist guide waits for us to show us the itinerary of our trip. First we have a look at the old town core of Metlika and visit the Belokranjski museum, which explains the history of Bela krajina from prehistoric times to the middle of the 20 th century. This is followed by the tour of Slovene Firebrigade Museum of Dr. Branko Božič, as Metlika is the cradle of Slovene voluntary fire brigade. Artistic souls can indulge their senses in the Kmbič Galery. After completing all our visits, we do some shopping in the textile stores Beti and Komet and in the shop of original home appliances of the company Status. With fill backpacks we continue our journey to nature and visit the source of the river Krupa. After observing this wonderful, swift and romantic rivulet, our journey continues towards the village Jankoviči, near Adlešiči. Village´s plesant country house is a place where we can witness the procedure of linen processing, the colouring of "pisanice" and various other products of cottage industry. Your feelings and observations about the past day can be shared with friends during a rich dinner at an inn or at a tourist farm. All accompanied, of course, with the sounds of an accordion.
