The legend says that the healing water was found by the castle’s hunters. When they were hunting in the districts of Košnica and Dobrina, one of them felt sick and he was dragged along the snow towards the road to Dobrina, from where he would be taken by horses to Žusemje Castle. Amongst a large area of snow, they saw a patch of land and water which was not frozen. The sick person was given that water to drink and soon he got well.
Many other stories about the miraculous healing of people who drank that water originated later. After those legends, which represent the oldest data on the healing powers of the water in Dobrina, the name DOBRINA CASTLE SPRING originated.

The settlement of Dobrina is an excellent starting point for a walk to nearby Žusem located on the 669 m high rise where two churches stand, the first one is the Parish Church of St. Valentine, however, the second one is the 700 year old established Church of St. Jacob, which has valuable preserved frescoes from the 15th and 16th century and chandeliers made of local glass. In the nearby small village of Tinje, the archaeological finds Tinje and the remains of the sunken Žamerk Castle are located. Here, objects from the late Antique and Early Slavic period were found. In Javoršica the partisan hospital is still preserved. You can get additional information at Društvo Izviri (Springs Association).
