The Jelinčič farm is located away from the main road on a terrace above the Soča River near the village of Soča. The head of the family plays the zither and is an amateur artist who takes inspiration from the breathtaking surroundings, as does everyone who visits this special part of Slovenia. The barn holds sixty sheep and supplies the table with lamb and sheep milk, cheese, and cottage cheese.

A specialty of the kitchen is freshly-caught trout prepared with sheep cheese, and dried meat products, salami, pancetta, ham, and baked potatoes with cottage cheese are among the many items on the menu. If fifteen guests or more are interested, they can learn the art of making cheese under the instruction of an expert.

Active vacations in this region include hiking in the mountains, whitewater rafting and kayaking on the Soča River, hang gliding and paragliding, mountain biking, and in winter, of course, skiing. When there is enough snow in the valley, the small rope tow beside the house is activated, and one can ski on nearby Mount Kanin into the very late spring.
