If you like isolated farms offering wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, then a visit to the Na Meji open farm is an excellent choice. The farm lies on the edge of the Pivka Basin and you will immediately be enchanted by the marvellous view of Pivško Polje and Nanos.

The farm is renowned for its traditional home cooking. Dishes include stews and hotpots, jota, minestrone, kolhlrabi, potatoes and home-made bread. The farmer, Marko, is a connoisseur of medicinal plants and herbs, which he uses to make herbal liqueurs and other interesting beverages. Particular attention is paid to beekeeping, which means that honey, honey brandy and mead are available for you to take home with you.

The farm is ideal for families with children. Children can play on the playground equipment, explore the farm and the surrounding area, and experience a real night-time adventure in a hut in the middle of a forest. A stay on the farm provides endless opportunities for adventures.
Bicycles are available for hire – you can use them to explore the surrounding area. One special adventure organised by the farm is watching bears in their natural habitat.
The farm is an excellent starting-point from which to visit Sv. Trojica, Snežnik, the Javorniki forests, Postojna Cave, the Military History Park and the intermittent lakes of the Pivka district.
