This small village is situated on one of the higher rise of the hill Vrha
from where it can be seen a magnificent view on the Vipava valley and
the gulf of Trieste. During the WWII the Germans burned down the entire village. In the past bonfires on the Straža hill were lit to warn people of Turk invasions. Below the village are some vineyards where the white vine of Vipava is produced.
Automobiles : On the road Sežana-Senožeče turn left after Štorje, in Kazlje turn right for Štjak and in Štjak turn right for Gradišče.
