Crowded Karst village at base of Brkini area is divided to Upper and Lowe Street. The fields around the village are sink fields (water flodes the area and than disappears/sinks underground) and have two sinking streams: Vrčiči and Depožit which are ending in 450 m long and 200 m deep pit Mejjame (also cold Županova cave). Local people linked the only permanent spring in the near to village well to collect water for personal use. We find deserted ice caves in the near (Grubelce, Rebernica, Potoče in Grič) and two water ponds. You can see prehistorically building site on the top of Valerija (508 m) with preserved rampart and a lot of preserved pottery.
